Major projects:
- Community-engaged research (2025-2027): North Shore Policy Lab, Heaven and Earth Project
Under the direction of Dr xxxx, I was part of a team of students tasked with advancing research on community-owned energy (COE) systems to benefit the Hxxx project in Salem, MA. As part of this team, I conducted interviews with leaders of COE sites, presented our findings to community partners, and wrote a comparative case study analysis.
In fall of 2026, I returned to the North Shore Policy Lab as a TA and peer mentor to support new students navigating self-guided and community-engaged research.
- Faculty guided research (PSY390, 2025):"When 'sub' sounds like 'bus': Acoustic-phonetic constraints on anadrome resolution in spoken word recognition"
Under the direction of Dr. D G, myself and a small team of students studied the neuroscientific basis of speech recognition to further experimental fMRI research on the subject. As part of this class, I gained a better understanding of the neuroscientific research process and created auditory stimuli to be used in the experiment.
- Honors thesis (2026-2027): "A Narrative Review of Social Media Addiction Impacts and Interventions"
I am currently writing my honors thesis, a literature review examining the number of people impacted by clinically significant social media addiction, the neural and social impacts of this condition, and proposed interventions to combat these effects. This project aims to bridge basic and applied research on the science of social media addiction to inform best practices for prevention and treatment.
